Hot News From the Kiln
The ceramic pet urns from the wood firing this month turned out so well! The combination of fire and wood ash produced some wonderfully colorful urns...tones of red, blue, green, purple, and grey.
Each urn I unearthed from the kiln was a totally different creation, in both coloration and patterning. While one urn was primarily greys and blacks with a negative, ghostly image of a fern, another had multiple colors and sunlight patterns throughout.
I always strive to provide a high level of customer service. I was happy to receive the following recent reviews.
"The customized urn Brenda created for us was so incredibly beautiful. She is truly an amazing artist and we couldn't be happier to have such a lovely memorial for our beloved Koki." - LC
"The Urn is absolutely beautiful. Looks gorgeous on our mantel and super high quality. It was produced on a timely manner, shipped safely and we are very happy not only with the piece but also with the communication with the maker. Super, super happy that our Zeus is in our living room with the family in such a beautiful piece. LOVE IT!!!!" - VC
"Absolutely amazing! Brenda did a wonderful job capturing our cat’s facial features. This urn really makes us feel like he is still here as he is greatly missed. Thank you so much for the beautiful piece! The picture shows the size as it sits next to the small canister we received with his ashes from our vet. It is the perfect size!"...SI
A few more custom ceramic pet urns, both cremation urns for dogs and cats, have been completed this week. I took advantage of this sunny early spring afternoon to photograph the urns I finished.
Wawa's dog urn is the Running through Birches style, with a sepia toned imprint of his image on the side. The lid has his name and dates of life. I didn't notice the sun rays shining down on his urn until afterwards, when looking at the images taken. Truly a heavenly beam, from across the Rainbow Bridge.
The cat urns were painted on a creamy white glazed light buff stoneware clay. The white glaze is hazy in spots, appearing as if clouds.
Kuzoo's urn lid has an imprint of his own paw, and individual and special touch.
